What you will do in your working day

The role will be to provide support an assistance to our service manager and our full time engineers. The role will be varied and will cover many disciplines to fulfil the needs of our clients.

Primarily, the role will cover the installation, service, and maintenance of commercial audio visual installations. This will include but not be limited to the following:
  • 100v Line Commercial PA Systems (Tannoy)
  • Voice Alarm Evacuation Systems
  • Voice Reinforcement Systems
  • Network Audio Systems
  • Intelligibility Testing
  • Background Music Systems
  • Foreground Music Systems
  • Video Conference Systems
  • Video Streaming Systems
  • Video Distribution Systems (HDBaseT)
  • Corporate and Public Display Systems
  • Projection Systems
  • Induction Loop Systems
  • Assisted Hearing Systems
  • Speech Transfer Systems
  • Intercom

In addition to the main disciplines above, there will also be an opportunity to be involved with projects that include:
  • Aerial Distribution
  • Networking
  • CCTV
  • Access Control & Door Entry
  • Time Management Systems
  • Workforce Management Systems
  • Visitor Management Systems

Our work is mainly North East based, with occasional work away. There will be workshop related duties to fulfil as well as remote work in client premises and on sites.

We complete work on high profile sites that will require security training and background checks to be completed. All of these will be dealt with as required and fully funded by us.

Additional training will be required for working at height and working on construction sites, but this will be provided and funded by us.

Full clean driving licence would be an advantage, but not essential.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
  • It is expected to develop into a permanent position at the end of the apprenticeship period. But this will depend on postion of company and behaviour whilst on apprenticeship
