What you will do in your working day

Supporting growth in the US sales team with specific promotional, digital marketing and social media responsibilities, for customers (50% role)
  • Support growth in Fentimans other international markets (25%) by helping the team with projects that support these markets.
  • Supporting UK Brand and Channel (In-Home and Out Of Home) team - advertising, POS, social media, PR, sampling and activations (10%)
  • General marketing team admin (15%)

This role will have a skew towards supporting US market growth and report into the Marketing Manager (International and OOH) but also work with all members of marketing team - including areas of the marketing mix

Role Responsibilities

U.S Market Support (50%)
  • Support for the US market will include the following, with additional/replacement channels as the market develops
  • Supporting US sales team to activate specific, targeted campaigns within new and existing customers (Retail and Out of Home/On Trade) to help drive rate of sale or brand awareness. This could include but is not exclusive to: sampling, point of sale, activations, trade shows, influencer projects
  • Management of Fentimans US Facebook and Instagram ( potentially other socials in future) - Organic and Paid activity: adapting UK content, new content creation, community management, monitoring growth and engagement
  • Managing Digital Performance Media on other platforms, such as US retail sites - Instacart, Target and others, as relevant - looking at how budget is spent, making recommendations on how to spend budget better based on data and insights
  • Managing relationship with agency who runs Fentimans US Amazon advertising. Understanding how they are spending budget, what is working and making recommendations on activity that will drive more sales.
  • Briefing Designer/Agency on any support materials for above

International Marketing Team support (25%)
  • Support with asset creation and sharing to Fentimans priority international markets
  • Keeping Fentimans Asset Library up to date with latest brand and marketing collateral
  • Working on Brand updates (presentations, newsletters etc) from UK team to share with other markets
  • Support on set-up of Fentimans annual International Marketing Conference

Support UK Brand and Channel teams (15%)
  • Support UK Brand in day-to-day management of Fentimans social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Tik Tok and Instagram - community management, asset help, working with agency
  • Support in execution of PR initiatives - researching and writing content, reviewing influencers, supplying product, monitoring content) and working with agency
  • Support with creation of marketing assets to be used in Retailer or Out of Home/On Trade campaigns and activations
  • Support with photo and video shoots
  • Help set-up sampling opportunities.
  • Help research Partner opportunities and other collaborations that would support brand growth
  • Help collating results and putting together post campaign reviews

General team support (10%)
  • Help in creation of post campaign reports and presentations for leadership team
  • Industry research
  • Support with new business presentation and collection of competitor info
  • Marketing finance admin

The training you will be getting

You will work towards the Level 4 Marketing Executive apprenticeship standard with Gateshead College.

You will receive induction into Fentimans to enable you to understand how the business works, get to know the wider team from around the business and gain an understanding of how your role impacts business success.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Possible progression to full time employment following successful completion of the apprenticeship.
