Manufacturing includes the day to day production and distribution of our quality products which is an essential role to the success of Bakkavor.

If you have an enthusiasm for food and are interested in the different stages involved in how it is produced, then our Higher Apprenticeship in Manufacturing is an ideal opportunity for you. It will give you a clear understanding of the key manufacturing processes including planning, safe machinery operation and resource management, in addition to acquiring experience in a supervisory role. Working within the manufacturing team requires interpersonal skills and reliability as you will have ONE team spirit while learning how to take a logical and passionate approach to achieving tasks and objectives, as well as pursuing other functions within the business such as Technical, Development, Finance and Human Resources.

Qualifications required

GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.

Future prospects This role will provide a generous introduction to the specific area of interest and allow candidates to understand the framework of the function and future opportunities. Towards the end of the programme if there is a suitable opportunity available, at the right level, then candidates will be encouraged to apply internally for this. Their first-hand proven experience will support any application.

Things to consider The environment can be very cold (can be as low as 5°C) and when busy will entail being inside for long periods of time. The business is busy and demanding and has high expectations of its team. However, it is also a very positive place to work and the work experience gained will be invaluable for the future. • On offer you will be required to complete a health check • Working week is full-time (37.5 hours) - We are operating a rolling assessment process
