What you will do in your working day

You will be based in the Lancaster office, there may be an opportunity and depending upon circumstances expectation that you might spend some time in the Kirkby Lonsdale office. Before you move into each of your four seats, you can express to the training principal a preference as to which practice area you wish to undertake at that time. The company try to take these preferences into account to ensure that where possible, each apprentice spends time in the seats they are most interested in. Time will be spent in a mix of Agriculture, Corporate, Commercial/Residential Property, Litigation, Family and Private Client. From the beginning of your training programme.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Meeting/liaising with clients
  • Drafting paperwork
  • Proof reading
  • Taking attendance notes
  • Performing legal research
  • Preparing court documents or trail bundles
  • Completing administrative tasks
