Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to provide administrative support to the Community Paediatric Administration Team based at the Child Development Centre. Applicants should have GCSE Maths and English or equivalent and good IT skills. An interest in working within a team and in a healthcare environment is desirable, as is the wish to utilise and improve your administration skills.

The successful applicant will be well motivated and have good communication skills, both face-to-face and on the telephone.

You will be working in a busy office, and will be given the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in a variety of administration skills.

We will provide you with all the training and ongoing support you require to enable you to use the systems and processes already set up within the department. We expect that you can demonstrate good team-working and interpersonal skills and good IT skills.

***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***

Main duties of the job

To provide an administrative support to the Community Paediatric administration team.

Carry out administration tasks as appropriate, this includes printing, photocopying, scanning, filing, collating information.

Preparation of hospital notes for patient appointments.

Reception duties.
