What you will do in your working day
  • Support team members with varied tasks, ranging from data updates, data entry and monitoring tasks.
  • Learn knowledge from experts within the team on key areas.
  • Start to build knowledge of the solutions the IS Services team offer, such as the Request Tracker Ticketing System, Applicant tracker, Recruitment System, Payroll System and Dashboard solution.
  • Assist the Lead intelligence Analyst on Dashboard support.
  • Start to learn and understand BAU reporting and working on Microsoft excel to build foundation knowledge of Morson data. Learning to understand the data and execute reports where required.
  • Dealing with internal and external stakeholders on the support to help resolve queries or escalate where required.
  • Monitor and action the compliance Dashboards ensuring clean and reliable data.
  • Gain a foundation of knowledge on the Dashboards via support and start to progress into the Dashboard build and maintenance.

The training you will be getting

The Apprentice will spend most of their time with the Lead intelligence analyst, in addition they will support and learn from the other members of the team. The time spent in each area will depend on resource needed at that time and will vary to accompany the apprenticeship work modules.

The perfect candidate will have great attention to detail, the ability to multitask and enjoy working with data and solving data related problems.

Apprentices will engage in a comprehensive program delivered once a week in collaboration with University Academy 92 (UA92). The teaching approach combines face-to-face sessions at UA92's state-of-the-art £2m digital academy, hands-on experiences at Morson Talent, interactive tutor-led sessions via MS Teams, and self-paced eLearning, including lab exercises.

Accreditations you'll earn encompass the BCS Level 4 DevOps Engineering Apprenticeship along with certifications from industry leaders like Cisco, LPI, CompTIA, AWS, Microsoft, and GCP.
  • First-rate technical training in current DevOps technologies and methodologies, encompassing areas like databseses, Linux, cloud infrastructure, and automation scripting.
  • Direct insights from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) ensuring you're well-equipped with the knowledge and expertise to excel.
  • Practical, hands-on problem-solving experiences addressing real-world business challenges.
  • Collaborative efforts with the Engineering teams to guarantee top-notch, compliant infrastructure deployments.
  • Development of robust interpersonal and business acumen, emphasising team collaborations using Agile practices.
  • You'll be expected to work to project milestones, reporting to a team manager and having regular meetings to ensure progress.
  • You will implement and manage security tools and technologies.
  • You will develop a strong foundation in practical interpersonal and business skills working in teams utilising Agile methodologies.
  • You will get support and mentorship from industry professionals.

After completing the Information Systems (IS) Services Data Apprentice role at Morson Talent, graduates can advance to roles like DevOps Engineer or Cloud Solutions Architect. You might specialise as a Data Analyst, Infrastructure Automation Developer, transition to Site Reliability Engineering, or steer projects as Technical Project Managers.
