What you will do in your working day

The apprentice will work under the supervision of several professional Sustainability consultants on the delivery of projects for a variety of clients, to help achieve their objectives and improve the quality of life for their customers.

Typical tasks and activities include:
  • Support and work across teams, including environmental specialists including carbon managers, social value experts, ecologists and environmental analysts
  • Support the team with development of sustainable strategies, policy and assessment approaches for plans and projects
  • Support with project work, market research and bid preparation covering all aspects of sustainability
  • Collate, analyse and report on sustainability data, utilising digital toolsets to efficiently visualise and communicate insights for project teams
  • Undertake on the job training on a range of industry leading tools and procedures, and, along with the learning from their part-time degree course, apply these skills to ongoing project activities

The training you will be getting
  • On this apprenticeship you will complete the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner Level 4 standard through our agreed training provider University of East London
  • This will be delivered on a day release basis

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
  • The Apprentice will continue in the company and on their route to chartership
  • Depending on performance, there is progression to the level 7 Sustainable Business Manager pathway following completion of the Level 4 standard
