This is an amazing opportunity to start a rewarding career as a Surveyor. Working for VINCI Construction UK you'll be working on projects based around London and the south.

Quantity Surveyors manage the costs relating to construction projects, and they are involved throughout the lifecycle of construction. VINCI Construction UKs Trainee Quantity Surveyors will work within project teams to understand and safeguard commercial position, whilst developing an understanding of contractual, commercial, insurance and legal processes relating to contracts.

Projects will be based in the London & South (London, Sussex, Hants, Berks, Kent) and London & North (London, Bucks, Beds, Herts, Essex, Cambs, Suffolk, Norfolk) Regions.

  • Keen to develop and learn about the construction industry
  • Computer literate
  • In order to successfully balance working and studying high levels of self-motivation and commitment are required
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage.
  • Flexible attitude towards work location as due to the project driven nature of our business there will be a requirement to work on multiple sites.

Qualifications required

All offers will be conditional on completion and submission of an evidence pack provided to employers by LSBU.

• Level BBB or;

• BTEC National Diploma DDM or;

• Access to HE qualifications with 24 Distinctions 21 Merits or;

• Equivalent level 3 qualifications worth 128 UCAS points

• Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Math's and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above).

• We welcome qualifications from around the world. English language qualifications for international students: IELTS score of 6.0 or Cambridge Proficiency or Advanced Grade C.

Advanced entry

An apprentice holding a surveying/building related BTEC HNC/HND/Foundation degree with specific grades will be considered for Level 5 entry. Each apprentice will be considered on a case by case basis and may require an interview.

Future prospects Quantity Surveying BSc (Hons). This course is for students who wish to obtain an honours degree in surveying accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). As part of the programme, students will be mentored and will work towards becoming chartered with RICS

Things to consider This role will require travel between sites and working unsocial hours.
