One of the UK's largest providers of online investment platforms and stockbroker services are looking for an Apprentice Investment Operations specialist.

Involving a high level of IFA and customer interaction (telephone calls and emails); customer service is key to this role. Typical tasks include (but are not limited to):

  • Purchasing and ongoing administration of investments (accurately maintaining and updating both paper based and electronic records)
  • Fee management - identifying; applying; chasing
  • Administering in-specie transfers between SIPP arrangements
  • Administering fund for transfers out of the business including cash and in specie transfers, annuity purchases & ISA/GIA transfers out
  • Producing KPI data and MI as agreed
  • Identifying FCA transaction reporting failures and taking remedial action
  • Liaising with 3rd party suppliers to produce stock valuation (at client request) and validate invoices for Finance team.

Qualifications required

Minimum of 5 GCSE's A-C grade including Maths and English

Minimum of 300 UCAS points (preferably with business/maths)

Future prospects Management path - Team leader, Manager, Head Technical Path - Compliance, Quality, Technical Resources Technology path - Testing, Development, Change management.

Things to consider Due to volume of applicants, only suitable candidates will be contacted. Successful candidates will be invited to an assessment day at the end of July. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
