This is a data-oriented team which sits within Solution Delivery in Technology Operations. The objective of the team is to statistically model out resource demand across different Tech Ops teams, identify bottlenecks in workflow,reengineer business processes to improve efficiency and drive data-baseddecision making in operational planning.

Key accountabilities

  • Identify, collect and migrate data to/from a range of internal and externalsystems
  • Manipulate and link different data sets as required
  • Interpret and apply the organisations data and information securitystandards, policies and procedures to data management activities
  • Collect and compile data from different sources
  • Perform database queries across multiple tables to extract data for analysis
  • Perform routine statistical analyses and ad-hoc queries
  • Use a range of analytical techniques such as data mining, time seriesforecasting and modelling techniques to identify and predict trends andpatterns in data
  • Assist production of performance dashboards and reports
  • Assist with data quality checking and cleansing
  • Apply the tools and techniques for data analysis, data visualisation andpresentation
  • Assist with the production of a range of ad-hoc and standard data analysisreports
  • Summarise and present the results of data analysis to a range of stakeholdersmaking recommendations

Candidates must have completed a previous qualification in a similar field.

Things to consider The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
