The Apprentice will operate closely with members of the WBT organisation where project management and analytical skills will be developed. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on business analysis experience in a constantly changing environment whilst being heavily involved on several projects across EMEA and APAC.

Warner Bros. Technology is responsible for all IT applications and support at WB companies including but not limited to the selection; development; testing; implementation and support of each business area's applications and systems. WB Technology (WBT) has responsibility for a portfolio of over 700 applications including executive oversight of all IT projects; on-going investment and maintenance of existing applications; and identifying strategic IT investments that support the WB division's business systems roadmap. This position will support the EMEA and APAC Technology teams based in Central London.

Main Focus of the Role

The successful candidate will operate closely with members of the WBT organisation where project management and analytical skills will be developed. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on business analysis experience in a constantly changing environment whilst being heavily involved on several projects across EMEA and APAC. This role is unique because the successful candidate will have exposure to all areas of the WB business, as there will be opportunities to work with a variety of clients; from Finance and HR to Marketing and Film Distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the centralised action list after major meetings
  • Assist project managers with system implementations
  • Provide quality project documentation in a timely manner as each project requires
  • Together with senior leadership, liaise with members of the WB business community to analyse and streamline business processes
  • Work together with application teams to communicate business and design requirements
  • Maintain the WB Technology's team project board by liaising with individual members for status updates and progress reports
  • Communicating with application owners to ensure that all training documentation is kept up to date
  • Other ad-hoc Department and Project jobs
Requirements and prospects Desired skills
  • Excellent written communication
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint; experience of MS Visio preferred.
  • Knowledge of Systems and Databases preferred, but not essential.
  • Highly analytical (esp. for identifying trends, etc.) and pay exceptional attention to detail
  • Well organised & disciplined, with the ability to prioritise workloads & use time effectively
  • Highly self-motivated & work with limited supervision
  • Ability to communicate with people confidently at all levels in a professional and mature manner
  • Willingness to proactively learn

Qualifications required

Educated to A Level or equivalent ideally having studied IT or Business.

Future prospects This role will give the candidate experience to work in a Business Analysis role.

Things to consider From 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
