Technical Support Engineers required at a leading web hosting company based in Brighton.

They are looking for both experienced and inexperienced engineers to join the technical support team to support a range of high-profile clients via both telephone and their ticketing system.
They require an ambitious individual who is looking to grow within a progressive company. The role is very dynamic and varied in terms of technology, as you will be working on client applications and their cloud platform as well as hardware platform deployments and management at the data centre.

The technology you will be exposed to on a dialy basis will include;

  • Windows server
  • Linux server
  • IIS/Apache
  • MySQL/MS SQL
  • VMware vSphere
  • VMware ESXi
  • Loadbalancers
  • Active Directory
  • Exchange
  • Cisco / Juniper
  • HP 3PAR / EVA storage arrays
  • TCP/IP
  • DNS

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a professional manner, as this role is customer facing.

Qualifications required
  • Level 3 Diploma in an IT related subject and/ or A levels in Computer Science or a relevant subject area.
  • GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent in Maths and English Language are essential!
  • Functional skills Level 2 in ICT

Future prospects Full time position to the right candidate upon completion of the apprenticeship

Things to consider The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
