Vacancy description

This is an ideal opportunity for those who are looking to develop themselves within an administration role. As an apprentice within a GP practice you'll be expected to turn your hand to various jobs whilst maintaining a professional attitude at all times.

Main duties:

  • Communicating over the telephone with patients and colleagues, when required
  • Cover a range of administrative duties supporting the team with filing, photocopying, and word processing
  • Organise and report data
  • Support other team members when requested
  • Work with in house computer systems
  • Use a diary system
  • Sending and receiving e-mails
  • Assist with filing of training certificates
  • Store and retrieve information
  • Scanning of documents
  • Work at all times with integrity and the respect for confidentiality
  • Responsible for complying with surgery policies and guidelines

  • Level 2 in Business and Administration
  • Level 2 Technical Certificate
  • Level 1 Functional Skills in English and maths (if applicable)
  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
  • In house training from the employer
