With over 25 years in the field Ancestors of Dover Ltd is one of the most prominent presences in the UK giftware industry with an international distribution. Having recently acquired a number of new licences leading to an expansion into new markets Ancestors of Dover Ltd are looking to recruit a number of new staff to join the factory team.
Vacancy Description
We currently have an opportunity for a warehouse operator to join our small team in Folkestone, Kent. We require a warehouse worker to assist with general warehouse tasks.
Dealing with goods in- Unloading containers
Picking and packing goods, ready to ship to the customer
Maintaining warehouses
Assisting with stock takes
Casting with pewter and resin
Operating various machinery
Wage
£3.90 per hour rising depending on experience
Hours
Monday-Friday 9:00-17:30
Skills Required
Ability to perform manual handling (Heavy lifting.)
Good communication
Attention to detail
Personal Qualities
A polite friendly manner
Ability to work well in a team
Qualifications Required
A-C GCSE
Training Provided
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
