Vacancy Description

A great opportunity has come about for one of the UK’s leading online retailers in the gaming space, so if you like gaming and technology – Lime Pro Gaming is the one for you. Based in Rainham, Kent. We’re currently looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team to action receiving of goods, picking and packing and dispatching orders. This role includes heavy lifting and manual handling.

Some of the main duties included within the role are: –

  • Checking and putting away deliveries, counting goods received.
  • Picking and packing customer orders.
  • Use of a computer for order processing.
  •  Loading / unloading deliveries / dispatches.
  • General Housekeeping, ensuring the warehouse is kept tidy and organised.
  • Carry out duties requested by management team.
  • Stock control, maintain accurate counting/checking of stock.

Wage

136.50 per week (£3.90 based on a 35 hour week)

In return for your hard work and commitment, we offer a competitive salary ranging subject to experience, plus and 20 days’ holiday+ 8 bank holidays days and pension benefit. This role is for full-time work. Please note that we may need to work some weekends due to events, time will be repaid back in lieu.

Future aspects of the role include managing stock for the business, speaking with new suppliers for packaging materials etc, growing a team to organise and fulfil the needs of the business.

Hours

Monday to Friday

09:00 to 17:00 plus occasional overtime

Skills Required

  • Good organisation and communication skills.
  • Good literacy/numeracy and basic ICT skills

• Good organisation and communication skills.
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude to carry out duties requested.
• Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.
• This role involves extensive manual handling and physical movement of stock.

Qualifications Required

GCSE D in Maths and English

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

Additional Detail

As of 1st April 2018, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
