If you think you have what it takes to be a successful developer this may be the opportunity for you. Currently Tamar IT Limited is looking for an individual that has a keen interest in developing business applications.

Your main role will involve working within a supportive team environment.

You will also be required to work independently using your own initiative.

Being able to learn new skills effectively and quickly is a must as you will be working in a company that is continually looking to grow.

Duties include:

  • Developing New Business Applications.
  • Maintaining and Developing Existing Applications.
  • Promote New Business Applications to Potential Clients.
  • Developing in PHP/MYSQL, FileMaker and Xojo.
  • Provide Support/Advice to New and Existing Clients.
  • Any ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements and prospects Desired skills
  • Keen Interest in Programming.
  • Knowledge of PHP/MYSQL/HTML/Javascript/CSS.
  • Knowledge of FileMaker & Xojo beneficial but not required.
Personal qualities
  • Keen Interest in Programming.
  • A positive and helpful attitude.
  • Good organisation and timekeeping skills.
  • Good problem solving Skill.
  • Attention to detail.
Qualifications required
  • GCSE Maths and English A-C or equivalent.
Future prospects Possible full time role after the apprenticeship has been completed.

Things to consider May rarely have to work away from the premises. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
