Role Purpose

We're looking for a creative digital all-rounder who's passionate about gender equality to join our team and provide vital support. You'll be helping to update our website and social media channels around two of our busiest moments of the year as we continue to promote our new youth-led campaign for gender equality, #GirlsGetEqual.

Dimensions of the Role

Your tasks will include:

Scheduling social media content
Editing and posting web pages
Collecting analytics for the website and social media
Supporting country office web editors and quality controlling country office web content
Supporting with regular digital tasks in the event of emergencies or reputational risk-management crises that demand immediate action by other team members

You could also take on additional tasks depending on your skills and interests, such as web design, print design, blog writing support, content creation or advertising administration.

Other tasks may include:

Researching content and photos for the site
Supporting the creation of new pages by cropping/uploading images, embedding video, uploading related content, applying taxonomies
Testing links and functionality on the system
User acceptance testing on new features
Search optimisation of new content
Social media content creation and messaging

Technical Expertise, Skills and Knowledge


You'll be a snappy copywriter, with a good eye for what can stop the thumb on social media feeds. You'll have the skills needed to publish social media content for an organisation across multiple platforms and know your way around a Content Management System (CMS).

A confident user of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, you will have the ability to pick up new technology quickly. This role will require excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and the ability to prioritise and use own initiative. A team player, you will build effective working relationships.


Knowledge of Google Analytics and social media management and analytics tools.
Experience setting up social media advertising campaigns.

French or Spanish language skills.
HTML and CSS coding ability.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop and InDesign would be a bonus
