BCM Fareva based at Boots Site Beeston, is offering a great opportunity for an Apprentice Laboratory Technician to join their team. Reporting to the Team Leader the Apprentice Laboratory Technician has responsibility for performing analytical testing to regulatory, procedural and customer requirements.

The Role:

BCM Analytical Services provides an analytical testing service within both licenced and cosmetic healthcare environments.

The Apprentice Laboratory Technician is required to support delivery of an efficient and compliant testing service by following the appropriate technical and regulatory procedures to provide a compliant and efficient testing service.

The job holder will be required to work supervised initially, with the aim being able to work unsupervised in the future and manage their work priorities to meet expected deadlines.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities within the role:
  • To provide a testing service to support BCM, and contract customers
  • Ensuring their own behaviours are aligned to the BCM vision and values and promote this culture within the team
  • Maintaining consistency and focus everyday particularly on quality and compliance
  • Proactively communicate any problems and delays to projects and escalate through appropriate routes. Build a positive relationship with team and other colleagues within the business
  • To review test results ensuring that any out of specification results are promptly escalated as appropriate
  • Help to identify areas of improvement for the laboratory and support implementation of continuous improvement
  • Ensure all testing complies to cGMP for pharma or cosmetics as appropriate
  • To support a positive culture of safety to ensure the laboratory meets all health and safety requirements
  • A flexible working style is imperative and the job holder will be expected to work closely with their supervisor and other team members to deliver projects where priorities can change

This apprenticeship is work based learning therefore most of the time you will be working at the employer's address. Depending on your training you will only need to attend college in Nottingham for initial assessments, enrolment and weekly day release.
