Our apprenticeship programme will ensure you develop the highest standard of knowledge, skills, behaviours and experience in the industry.

As a site based Apprentice you will:
  • Train at one of the top performing colleges or training providers in the country as you work towards your advanced apprenticeship
  • Learn about Safety First and Foremost, our award winning approach to working safely
  • Be working indoors and outdoors
  • Be prepared for early starts and the possibility of travel away from home
  • Develop great working relationships with some of the industry's most talented people
  • Have a strong support network with the right levels of supervision giving you the chance to build your confidence and use your initiative

You will learn to:
  • Work across different departments within our Engineering division such as estimating, planning, design, commercial and contracting to get a clear understanding of the business
  • Work closely with and build working relationships a range of engineers in the business
  • Work with project teams before projects go live to review the work required and ensure we are meeting the client's requirements
  • Work with other project team members to identify potential risks and opportunities in the project and possible solutions
  • Provide information for progress reports and meetings
  • Build positive relationships with the client and main contractor
  • Work with your team to control financial objectives and meet project delivery timescales
  • As you gain experience manage small sections of a project and take responsibility for meeting all targets and deadlines

Desired skills

  • We are not looking for apprentices with any priorparticular skills as this will be obtained through the apprenticeship course

Personal qualities

We are looking for people who:
  • Are keen to learn
  • Are organised and well prepared with excellent timekeeping and attendance
  • Enjoy working in a team
  • Are adaptable and able to work under pressure
  • Can follow instructions and work to a standard
  • Are able to act independently

Desired qualifications

  • To apply, you need:Grade C or above in A Levels (or equivalent; A BTEC Extended Diploma, Diploma, Level 3 advanced apprenticeship) in English Language, maths and a science-based subject

Future prospects

Once your apprenticeship is complete, high performing individuals may have the opportunity to progress through the company's various development programmes to higher level qualifications.
