- Health and Safety Compliance - ensure you, your team and working areas always adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Conduct pilot tests on new products and processes, and provide technical information regarding trials and feedback to relevant stakeholders
- Maintain Company hygiene and statutory hygiene standards throughout designated areas, working within the principles of GMP and adhering to site standards
- Ensure all trials meet customer specifications, and always ensure high-quality products are always produced
- Adopt a flexible and adaptable approach to work by being willing to undertake work in any part of the NPD function for which you are suitably trained
- Develop recipes in response to product concept brief, creating and preparing test samples in kitchen and site process equipment to schedule under the direction of the NPD Manager
- Source, co-ordinate and maintain ingredients and key equipment in order to carry out recipe trials to schedule and to prepare sufficient samples for assessments, sensory analyses, market research trials and shelf life trials
- Assist in the preparation, issue and document control of product specifications for new product launches and modifications to existing site products
- Develop appropriate test procedures and provide adequate samples for QA analysis and testing according to brief
- Support Operations with the implementations of new products, ensuring maintaining standards according to specifications and supporting with required updates or improvements with the recipe

- For the right candidate full time employment in a NPD role may be offered should a business need be available at the time of apprenticeship completion
