BP is one of the three largest energy companies in the world, operating in over 100 countries across 6 continents. Information Technology & Services (IT&S), provides a full range of IT services to BP's global business segments.

IT&S plays a critical role in the delivery of defined world-class operational services that BP businesses can rely upon in support of their own performance. Our specific accountabilities include the delivery of services to specified target levels, including availability, recoverability and cost to the corporation. These services must also be delivered safely and secured against the growing risk of viruses and other security threats.

  • DevOps apprentice in the Compliance & Operational Excellence (C&OE) Compliance Workbench application
  • Working in an agile methodology
  • Covering a wide variety of activities within the software development lifecycle, with the option to specialise or focus on a particular aspect
  • Writing and testing code (C#/ .NET)
  • Working with global stakeholders to deliver a number of significant product increments for Compliance Workbench throughout the duration of the apprenticeship

  • Experience working in an office environment
  • Delivering good quality object-oriented code and working functionality
  • Experience working on integrated analysis development activities
  • Completed a level 3 Software Development Technician apprenticeship or relevant work experience

  • Experience working in an agile environment

Future prospects

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship.Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
