What you will do in your working day
The Cyber Security Technologist will apply an understanding of cyber threats, hazards, risks, controls, measures and mitigations to protect organisations systems and people. They will work to achieve required security outcomes in a legal and regulatory context in all parts of the economy with a particular focus on security design & architecture, security testing, investigations & response.
The training you will be getting
Approximately 13% of training during the programme takes place at a QA learning centre, with the remaining 87% completed in the workplace.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
At the end of the apprenticeship, once you have qualified, you would have developed the specialist capabilities/skills to enable you to become an expert in your chosen area. Therefore you either have the option to top-up to the next level apprenticeship so you can continue to develop academically whilst in role, or progress upwards through the business in your specialist field.

A Level or equivalent IT (Grade C) Essential
