Are you looking for an apprenticeship in software engineering and want your work to have a real impact on the world? Have you recently finished school or due to finish in 2019?Altran are now receiving applications to join their Intelligent Systems Expertise Centre fromSeptember 2019.
Your role:
This is the perfect opportunity for anybody looking to start their career in software engineering and combinespaid work with a first-class training package. You might be sitting your A-Levels in 2019 or could have just completed an HND or similar qualification. If you have a passion for problem solving and software engineering then we would love to hear from you.
Our training programme is designed to enable people with the right aptitude for software engineering, but not necessarily any experience, gain a Level 4 qualification in software development methodologies. You will get all the support you need to excel with a personal staff manager/coach who will work with you to identify your personal development goals.
Successful applicants' opportunities could include:
Tom's Experience:
"When I first joined Altran, I was working as part of the test team on a project that is part of a large air traffic control system. This was a brand new experience for me but I always had the support that I needed from the rest of the team who I got to know through regular social events.I learned a lot about the tools and processes used in verifying high-integrity software, which I applied to the design and the creation of a new tool that increased the efficiency of loading test data. I am now part of the project development team and have worked through multiple development cycles, from start to finish. As a result of working in both environments and benefiting from Altran's engineering forums, I've been able to identify my strengths and weaknesses to ensure that I'm continually improving.
Although I studied Maths and Physics at University, the Altran graduate programme provided me with the skills and opportunities to become a well-rounded software engineer, even gaining me an accredited software testing certificate."
