Vacancy Description:
  • Successfully complete all modules, project work and case studies of the Cyber Security Technologist Apprenticeship Programme.
  • Working with Security and Technical teams to ensure security products and services are implemented correctly, and that operational procedures are followed appropriately
  • Participating in the information security incident response/management process which may include triage, investigation, response and mitigation.
  • Supporting the undertaking of regular vulnerability tests of Westcoast infrastructure and applications, and ensuring the relevant findings are recorded and ownership for remediation assigned and actioned.
  • Updating of reports, dashboards, and metrics for security operations.
  • Working with the rest of the security team to develop, drive and implement the overall cyber security strategy
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
  • Contribute to the maintenance and development of policy and governance, including the adherence to ISO27001, Cyber Essentials and PCI standards.

Desired qualifications

  • 5 GCSE's or equivalent A*-C 9/4 including Maths & English
  • A Level in Software/Computing or BTEC Extended diploma in IT or equivalent
  • Level 3 BTEC/Apprenticeship in similar subject
