  • To provide technical solutions working within the team of software developersin project lifecycles
  • Support in all stages of development & implementation of solutions
  • Assist in providing high level through to detailed estimates for work packages assigned
  • Responsible for the development of solutions to agreed standards and best practice
  • Complete assigned tasks to committed estimates and report on exceptions to planned events
  • Work with the development manager/lead in supporting departmental initiatives/capability improvements
  • In line with our policy, ensure the principle of Treating Customers Fairly is an intrinsic part of the organisation's culture by identifying & highlighting any risks within the business
  • To be fair, consistent and open with feedback
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of relevant industry related technology
  • Maintain a broad understanding of software development, database management and hardware options

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:

  • Experience on Pega and its frameworks
  • PRPC technical and product knowledge (PRPC CSA)
  • Experience of design and implementation of PEGA workflows
  • An understanding and practical experience of current development best practices
  • An understanding of one or more of the following methodologies: Waterfall or Agile

  • An understanding of scoping, planning and delivering projects using iterative software development lifecycles over multiple release cycles
  • Exposure in client side technologies like HTML, Java Script, CSS
  • Working understanding of the project lifecycle and how technology fits into it
  • Ability of working within multi skilled teams and establishing close working relationship with team members on all levels
  • Experience within a regulated (e.g. FSA) business environment preferred

Desired qualifications

Minimum 5 GCSE's Grade A-C/9-4 (or equivalent) including English Language and maths.

2 A Levels (or equivalent) in a relevant subject are desirable or a relevant degree.

Future prospects

It is envisaged that you will continue onto a degree apprenticeship after successful completion of the Level 4 standard.
