Main role / Responsibilities [will include but not be limited to]:
  • Troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues
  • Provide training to new users on IT systems (password changing, printers, network storage locations, etc.)
  • Maintain a log of all support provided and solutions applied
  • Install new computers
  • Install and configure computer operating systems and any business related client-software
  • Create new user accounts in accordance with existing templates
  • Maintain hardware asset register & documentation library
  • Work alongside the IT Infrastructure Manager on the Applications, Telephony, Infrastructure and Systems so they meet current and future needs

  • Have at least 1-year experience working in an IT team
  • Have good logical and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Comfortable dealing with both members of staff and occasionally members
  • Self-motivated team player who is flexible and willing to work extended working hours should critical matters arise

  • Well organised and able to prioritise workload

Desired qualifications

Interested candidates should have an Infrastructure Technician Level 3 qualification or equivalent.

Future prospects

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
