- To support the delivery of learning programmes, reviewing and assessment on a range of hospitality and catering programmes
- To carry out reviewing and assessments of student learning as required by the programme being delivered
- To prepare effective materials for learners to enable them to be successfully assessed
- To assist students in the production and maintenance of records/portfolios
- To organise, arrange and deliver student workshop activities as required (by group, activity, assessment, etc.)
- To make use of appropriate classroom/workshop techniques and strategies in delivering learning
- To maintain records to track student achievement and performance and report learner progress
- To prepare lesson/assessment plans and schemes of work for all sessions
- To provide timely feedback on student achievement
- To maintain appropriate records of student assessments/achievements
- To provide information advice and guidance relating to progression opportunities
- To function as an integral part of the full curriculum delivery team
- To support the monitoring of students' attendance
- To undertake work based assessment and gather work based evidence as required
- To prepare structured learning plans for students in the workplace
- To contribute to review and evaluation of programmes, self-assessment and the implementation of effective quality improvement plans
- To assist with promotional or marketing activity
- To share best practice and participate in standardisation meetings
- Develop and review individual learning plans
- Undertake such other duties as are reasonably allocated either permanently or from time to time to maintain the condition of the hospitality and catering department
- Deliver all elements of relevant business unit programmes including: training, mentoring, learner reviews, timely feedback and assessment and commercial programme
- Support with student recruitment, admission and induction procedures
- Be flexible to meet the needs of the business unit

- Minimum of 2 years recent and relevant industrial/vocational experience

- Experience of delivering NVQs
- Experience of planning learning programmes, reviewing and assessment
Desired qualifications
Essential
- NVQ or equivalent qualification at Level 3 or above in Hospitality/Catering
- English and Maths GSCE grade C or above or equivalent, or willing to work towards within a given timescale
