With its own in-house training Academy and engineering workshop, Superior can support you during your entire Apprenticeship. Our apprenticeship is for someone who is keen on learning how a major manufacturing business operates. Offering opportunities in: Manufacturing Management, Logistics, Quality and Sales.

This apprenticeship offers you the chance to achieve a degree in Manufacturing Management. We will ensure that you get the full picture of the business, from core manufacturing, to project and business management.

Your first year at Superior will be spent full time in our training Academy with our dedicated training manager to support you. One day a week will be spent at Bournemouth and Poole College, to ensure you get a full understanding of an engineering business, from the ground upwards. Once you have completed your first year in our Academy, you will complete monthly rotations in each area of the business.

The apprenticeship role includes:

• Full Health and Safety training

• Manual machining training

• Finishing skills training

• Analytical Methods for Manufacturing

• Manufacturing Processes

• Business and Project Management

• Team leading and leadership development

Our Engineering Apprenticeship is accredited by The Institution of Mechanical Engineers IMechE


• Applicants will need to have (or be predicted) a minimum of 3 A-Levels or equivalent (Grade C or above, preferably in maths and Science)

Desired qualifications

  • If you have got, or expect to get at least 4 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, or equivalent, to include maths, English, Science and one Technical subject, and want to join a dynamic, fast-moving company, you have come to the right place
  • You will also be predicted or have3 A Levels or equivalent at grade C or above

Future prospects

HNC- Foundation Degree - Degree (For example: Bachelors in Engineering) - Masters Degree (all funded by Superior).

Things to consider

We expect all our employees to have high levels of commitment with a strong work ethic. You will need to be self-motivated and set yourself challenging goals and objectives. The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
