Description of Vacancy
This is a great opportunity to develop key administrative and marketing skills with a family-run company who produce bespoke exhibition stands for a range of national and international clients.
Having recently relocated to the Eurolink estate in Sittingbourne, M J Exhibitions are looking for their next Business Development Apprentice to become a part of the company’s growth.
Supporting the marketing manager, you will be working with a range of data to help identify areas into which the company can grow as well as producing content for our social media.
This will be a busy role combining a range of administrative tasks with some marketing elements. Tasks will include – but are not limited to – the following:
– Producing content for social media and helping to manage our online presence on a range of networks
-Assisting the marketing manager with running marketing email campaigns and collecting databases.
-Use Excel to fill spreadsheets with relevant info.
-Collect databases from exhibitor lists and other sources. Database collection will also involve usage of the internet searches and phone calls.
-Other general administrative duties as required.
£153.75 per week (£4.10 per hour)
37.5 Working Hours per week:
Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00
Includes 30 minutes lunch-break each day (unpaid).
The successful candidate should have good ICT skills and grammar. A good understanding of Excel is desirable.
We are looking for somebody who is organised, confident and punctual.
Minimum grade D / 3 in English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent).
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards
As of 1st April 2019, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
