This is a unique opportunity to join Hewlett Packard Enterprise Finance team as a Finance Apprentice. The role will give you the opportunity to work closely with members of the HPE business finance and sales team and other departments such as marketing. You will work alongside experienced finance analysts and will be responsible for developing analytics and reporting to support the different sales teams. This apprenticeship is a great introduction to a business finance analyst role, enabling you in parallel to gain a professional accounting apprenticeship qualification.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Providing finance support in areas of Daily Order monitoring, timely Month End Close activities, P&Lmanagement (variance analysis vs Forecast and Budget), supporting Forecasting,margin analysis and/or recovery plans, Revenue assessments, Budget planning, trend analysis,
  • Creating, providing and developing reporting packs for senior executives that track change within the business and assist in crucial decision making processes.
  • Presenting and clearly communicating important strategic and financial information on a weekly basis using a variety of mediums.
  • Developing analytics (e.g. pricing, margin, cost, competitor) to provide insights to support business decision making.

Desired skills

  • Willingness to want to grow & develop with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
  • Analytical approach, enjoy working with large quantities of data.
  • Familiarity with MS Office (particularly excel), willingness to learn/useother tools /applications such as Power BI, SAP
  • Present findings clearly.
  • Time management & organisational skills.
  • Able to work with a level head under pressure.
  • Capable of learning and acting in limited time constraints.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively using different mediums.
  • Ability to work independently.

Desired qualifications

  • 3 A levels/BTEC equivalent
  • 5 GCSEs/Equivalent including English and maths
  • Preferably AAT Level 3 or relevant experience
