Become an Apprentice at Epson Telford, you will be rewarded as you develop your skill and start on the road to building an inspiring career.

Join us as an Apprentice and you will combine college-based learning with hands-on training gained at our manufacturing site in Telford.
Your first year will be spent at college, learning the engineering basics you'll need in your role with us. Outside of college term times, you will develop your studies working alongside members of our skilled engineering team. During your second to fourth year, you'll continue to gain practical experience at our site, attending college one day per week whilst you study for further qualifications.
As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to explore many areas of our site such as:
MANUFACTURING;
Working within our clean room production environment with both injection moulding machinery, automated production lines, and pillow forming machines, we will look to you to help maximise production efficiencies and support to maintain all associated equipment to ensure production facilities continue to run smoothly.
TOOLROOM;
An awareness of basic tool making skills experiencing; grinding, milling, turning, working with CNC machinery, learning how injection moulding tools are cleaned, repaired and serviced.
PACKAGING;
Working with vacuum forming machinery, conveyors, box forming, glue and over labelling systems. We will look to you to help maximise production efficiencies and support to maintain all associated equipment to ensure production facilities continue to run smoothly.
PLANT MAINTENANCE;
Dealing with all buildings and plant equipment maintenance, hands on jobs from basic maintenance and repair to room refurbishment and support on capex projects.
TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT;
You will experience forefront technology, having exposure to robotics, PLC controls, HMI and design, being part of a team that designs and innovates our production processes.
What will I achieve?
Together with invaluable commercial and professional experience, you'll also gain a number of academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time us, which are fully paid for by us. These include:
* Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
* Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (route specific)
* Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
* Continuation on to the HNC/D
What do I need to apply?
To apply for the Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme, you'll need Maths and English Language GCSE C Grade or above (Grade 4-9) or an academic equivalent.
In addition, you will need three GCSEs (or equivalent) including a Natural Science, Engineering or Technology related subject at C Grade or above (or equivalent).
BENEFITS
As an Apprentice, your starting salary will be approximately GBP10,300 per year. Your salary increases every October, provided you continue to perform well. Upon completion of the scheme, you can expect to be earning a competitive salary.
We will also pay your tuition, course fees, and in year one all travel expenses. We will also offer you all the support and mentoring you need. Holiday allowance of 31 days (inclusive of Bank holidays)
