What you will do in your working day
You will support colleagues to deliver evidence-based business intelligence that helps us make critical decisions about future service delivery as well as helping us ensure that we hear the 'customer voice' by organising consultation events. You will help to facilitate and develop the Council's understanding of housing needs and will maintain our webpages and business support functions. Data analysis and responding to requests for information are fundamental to the role.
The training you will be getting
You will be enrolled onto the level 4 Business & Professional Administration apprenticeship qualification with a college. This will involve regular college attendance. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
You will receive on the job training and off the job trainingto supportnew learning.
Cornwall Council has an internal Core Development Programme which is a series of workshops for apprentices to support professional knowledge in the workplace.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
This is a fixed term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship.
Cornwall Council offers a Recruitment and Selection Workshop to support individuals applying for other roles, however, there is no guarantee of employment at the end of the fixed term.
On completion, the apprentice will receive a recognised qualification which supports their knowledge and experience for a Business & Professional Administration role which could be in a variety of sectors.

The successful candidate will be expected to work at different Council offices and venues, including working from home, both subject to operational requirements. A flexi-working arrangement, with core hours is also available, again subject to operational requirements.
