Vacancy description

Data Quality and Maintenance of Patient Records includes:

  • Scan letters and reports into patient records and ensure that records are updated with appropriate READ codes from hospital letters, reports and other sources of information according to the practice protocol
  • Assist with data cleansing medical records to ensure that re-call dates are standardized
  • Assist with preparing re-call letters for mailing to patients 
  • Assist with general office tasks such as photocopying, filing and maintaining a tidy office environment
  • Any other tasks appropriate to your grade
  • Attend staff meetings and take part in staff appraisal system and personal development training as appropriate
  • Have an awareness of health and safety policy ensuring compliance with practice procedures relating to statutory requirements
  • Have knowledge of the policy and legal requirements relating to confidentiality and monitoring effectiveness of procedures to safeguard confidentiality within the practice

  • Good IT skills with a sound knowledge of the different microsoft excel packages used within
  • Knowledge of Health and safety policy 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Understanding of clinical systems and medical terminology

Desired qualifications

  • Grades C or above in Maths and English are essential for this role.
