- Support the delivery of the WMCA's Equality and Diversity internal and external strategy and approach
- To support the implementation of the WMCA's Corporate Social Responsibility programme
- Implement the WMCA's approach to physical and mental health and well-being for its employees
Responsibilities (Duties):
- To proactively promote Diversity and Equalities best practice internally and with partners
- To develop and maintain close community links with a range of community groups, both regionally and locally and to support the development of services based on customer needs and expectations
- To support the delivery of equalities awareness for WMCA staff
- To research and produce a range of equality related briefing papers, toolkits and guidance notes for WMCA staff and external partners
- To support the delivery of the Equalities Impact Assessments programme
- Working with procurement to ensure our contractors meet key equality criteria
- To work towards and establish areas of equalities best practice and encourage all areas of the WMCA to adopt them
- To work with managers to improve existing services or initiate new programmes based on consultation findings
- Internal equality initiatives, CSR and health and well-being initiatives including campaigns and awareness events
- Support the delivery of the Thrive Wellbeing Action plan
- Support key corporate volunteering activities and promote the Employer Supported Volunteering Programme
- To keep abreast of latest wellbeing and CSR developments and research on best practice that can be adopted by the WMCA

- A good standard of education, including maths and English at GCSE or equivalent level
- 3 A levels or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft software such as Office, Excel, PowerPoint
- A recognised qualification in office skills or administration is desirable
