Working within the in-house legal team based at our London Moorgate campus, your role will include:
  • Assisting the Head of Legal and other Legal Team members in the provision of commercially focussed legal advice to the University of Law group of companies
  • With appropriate support and supervision, you will be drafting and advising on commercial, partnership and procurement contracts, supporting the team in establishing and maintaining a contract and file management system, assisting with property transactions, supporting the team in managing and resolving disputes, and delivering on projects and providing administrative support to the team as required

The aim is for the successful applicant to jointhe University of Law as a Paralegal as soon as possible and, in September 2019, they will enrol on the Solicitor Apprenticeship programme.

Future prospects

This apprenticeship offers a combination of work-based and online supervised study, together with practical and academic activities at ULaw campuses, and will include preparation for and entrance to the new Solicitors Qualifying Exam Parts 1 and 2.

Subject to passing the programme and the SRA character and suitability test, the apprentice will be able to qualify as a solicitor.

After 4 years you will have obtained an LLB in Legal Practice and Skills (Hons).

Things to consider

You should have experience of working in a legal environment such as an in-house legal team, law firm or the voluntary sector.
