The Role:
  • As a civil engineering technician, you'll be getting involved in the design, analysis, delivery and overall engineering of many important projects, providing long lasting solutions for everyone involved
  • Using programmes such as computer aided design and building information management, you'll learn engineering principles and techniques to help design and deliver infrastructure and buildings
  • If you have a broad skills base then this is certainly the scheme for you!
  • At the end of all your hard work, you'll have a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering to show for it all. You'll also receive industry certificates in Site Safety Plus, Site Managers' Safety Training Scheme and Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme

This apprenticeship will include the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to achieve Incorporated Engineer status with the Institution of Civil Engineers and lead to the designatory letters IEng MICE. The professional review process for IEng MICE is included in the final assessment process.

Desired qualifications

You'll be in your final year or have completed either your A Levels (or equivalent qualification type) with grades BBC and a grade C minimum in Physics, maths or Further maths, or a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma with grades DDM or above in an engineering related subject with a further maths component.
You must have a maths GCSE with grade 6 or B and above, of equivalent maths qualifications, as well as an English GCSE with grade 6 or B and above.

Future prospects

Upon successful completion of the degree apprenticeship, a permanent role will be available on our graduate scheme, where you will be supported towards professional chartership.
