What you will do in your working day

Once trained the revenues apprentice will be able to complete a wide variety of tasks and make significant decisions that affect people within our area.

Tasks are usually assigned both weekly and daily and the revenues apprentice would be expected to complete the tasks assigned and report on any problem areas.

The training you will be getting

You'll study for the level 4 IRRV ( Instititue of Revenues, Rates and Valuations) Revenues and Benefits Practictioner. You will work specifically in our Revenues Service and your qualification will follow the Council tax and Buisness Rates pathway. Youwill be assigned a mentor and buddy in the workplace and you will have access to atutor who will give you feedback on your projects and assignments and meet with you monthly for 1-2-1's. Learning will be delivered through a variety of methods including , webinars, face to face, online learniong tools and attendance at industry events such as conferences.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

At the end of the apprenticeship you will be entitled to use the words Tech IRRV. This is a highly sought after qualification by employers when recruiting to technical, supervisory and management roles within Revenues and Benefits and related industries. We aim to retain our apprentices where ever possible but we can not always guarantee a position will be available.
