Day to day work can involve:
  • Analyse large sets of genome or transcriptome data
  • Develop and maintain bioinformatics analysis pipelines
  • Interact with wet-lab and dry-lab scientists
  • Use modern Cloud infrastructure to run pipelines

  • Some knowledge of one of the following programming languages: python, R
  • Some experience with Linux command line creating, renaming, moving, deleting files and manually editing files in a text editor

Desired qualifications

  • 112 UCAS points or equivalent
  • A level Grade B (or equivalent) I at least one STEM subject, Maths desirable
  • At least 4 GCSEs at Grade B/ Grade 6 which must include Maths and English
  • If English is not your first language, you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
