Main role and responsibilities:
  • The role of the Software Developer is to provide support to the consultancy team by maintaining live systems and carrying out new build work for clients
  • There will also be the opportunity to research and implement new technologies, particularly around JavaScript frameworks and Microsoft Cloud Interfaces
  • The role will be varied, covering support, design, development, configuration and test, and therefore the ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to apply themselves to a range of tasks
  • There may also be an opportunity to experience onsite consultancy work
  • Working closely with our consultants, the candidate will be supported within our friendly team
  • Within this role, the successful candidate will not only build a sound knowledge of modern cloud and web technologies, but also be able to confidently apply their skills
  • The candidate will gain experience working directly with clients

Desired qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have either experience in the aforementioned languages and/or have completed an A-Level in Software related subjects.
• You must have at least 7 GCSE's, including grade A-C in maths and English
• If the candidate has a degree already, then this apprenticeship can be for an MSc Tech Masters programme

Future prospects

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.

Please note, we do not necessarily expect the candidate to have experience of specific technologies. However, we do expect that you have a good grasp of basic programming and database techniques.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
