The role entails:
• Design and implement quality software solutions to meet business and customer needs
• Implement software design patterns and best practices in-line with modern industry standards
• Collaborate with your team and other business stakeholders to identify and refine requirements
• Peer review code and software solutions
• Provide support for our software systems
• Maintaining documentation and knowledge bases

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

• Experience of .Net Framework and C#
• Experience of server-side web development (preferably ASP.Net MVC or Web API)
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Knowledge of Telecommunications regulatory information would be advantageous
• Knowledge of ISO 27001/ISO 9000/ISO 9001 would be advantageous
Essential Skills:
• Experience of writing software using a modern object-orientated language (e.g. C#, Java)
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Experience of frontend web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)

Desired qualifications

• An A-Level in a similar subject
• Or an apprenticeship in a similar subject (this must be at least a Level 3)
• Or an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT
• Or a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)
• Must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject

Future prospects

2% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship.
