As a Software Tester, you will be working with talented teams of front and back end practitioners, designers, developersand QA, with the challenge being to help us test our industry leading software and systems within fast-paced, highly flexible agile development teams - all whilst growing personally and professionally!

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
  • Produce test scripts from specifications, in line with test plans
  • Follow a test script to execute tests & raise defects for unexpected system behaviour
  • Retest defect fixes and undertake regression testing
  • Understand different phases of testing & test techniques
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers & the test team
  • Communicate progress & issues to the project team clearly and in a timely manner

Desired skills

Essential Experience:
  • Able to demonstrate understanding of working in commercial environment
  • A strong foundation of core IT skills & knowledge
  • Proven ability to work with range of different technologies

Desirable:
  • Familiarity with different development lifecycles (e.g. agile, V-model)
  • IT skills over-and-above just using clicking the screen, e.g. comfortable working at command line/terminal screen, or basic networking knowledge
  • Some knowledge of physical hardware and/or virtualisation too (though not essential)


Personal qualities

  • Able to work in fast-paced environment
  • Clear communicator, who is driven to solve business challenges with technology
  • Ability to build a strong rapport with a variety of stakeholders
  • Diligent and thorough, with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills


Desired qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4, or equivalent, including English and maths
