Arrow Global have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Degree IT Apprentice to join their growing IT Team based in Manchester City Centre.
The role will be a key part of the IT department, where you will be involved in the management of small projects, particularly infrastructure projects whilst completing a Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship.
Start with a 45-48 month Digital and Technology Degree Apprenticeship Level 4/5/6.
The successful candidate will become an important member of the IT team.

QA's apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.
To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
The role will be a key part of the IT department, where you will be involved in the management of small projects, particularly infrastructure projects whilst completing a Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship.

The successful candidate will become an important member of the IT team.
Main role / Responsibilities: [will include but not be limited to]:
- Management of 'small' projects and input to larger particularly to infrastructure projects
- Evaluate technology solutions (e.g. infrastructure options)
- Investigate and analyse issues and incidents to determine root cause and to prevent recurrence
- Explore ways of extending our use of existing technologies where benefit exists
- Doing analysis (e.g. for contract renewals)
- Producing compelling and informative end-user communications (e.g. incident notifications)
- Managing the administration associated with reporting on Service Desk performance, Risk, Incidents (i.e. overdues, escalations or otherwise) and Audit actions etc. This work involves progress chasing to ensure all tasks and updates are completed.
- Reviewing and updating policies
- Devising and implementing improvements to Software and Hardware Asset Management
- Administering and assisting with recruitment, drafting Job Descriptions, preparing interview questions etc.
- CAB Secretariat and manage all IT Change requests
- Assistance with management of departmental finances and budgets including management of purchase order and invoice approvals
- Dept. admin. (e.g. Holiday Charts, Away Days, Training etc.)
