* How to Design, Develop, Install and Maintain Various Telecoms equipment on the BT Network.

* How to work with Optical Fibre

* How to work with Copper Cable

* All about Routers and networks

* All about supporting our customers

* How to test and commission products across multiple technologies

* How to work within a highly skilled team focussed on customer delivery and technical expertise

The Specifics:

* The apprenticeship is variable and can last 18 to 24 months

* On completion of the scheme you will have a Level 3 qualification

* You will also gain industry recognised vendor certifications

* On completion you will be a fully qualified telent technician and can integrate into the full-time workforce

* The apprenticeship is a managed scheme with a mix between apprenticeship coursework, classroom learning, onsite learning and vendor exams.

What will you need?

* Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs grades 9 to 4. Specifically, in Maths, English and Science or an IT related subject (A* to C)

* Have a Full UK driving licence

* Be 18 years of age from September 2019

* Be able to pass government vetting and police Security Clearance

* Basic Knowledge of Windows operating systems

* Basic knowledge of ICT applications and Networking

* Experience in communicating with internal and external stakeholders

* Strong planning and organising skills

* Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

* Be able to undertake physically demanding work and possess normal colour vision and hearing

* Be able to work at heights

* Be an effective communicator both written and verbal

* Have a positive, can-do attitude

* Be able to work as part of a team

* Be keen to work outdoors in all kinds of environments
