Vacancy description

Support will be provided alongside the external apprenticeship education to form a rounded view of Supply Chain and to facilitate a positive contribution to the smooth operation of the department.

The Role: 

  • Ensure routine purchasing tasks are carried out daily/weekly in methodical manner
  • Placing of non-stock purchase orders from authorised purchase requisitions
  • Maintain purchase order schedule
  • Contacting suppliers to enquire and expedite purchase orders
  • Maintain purchase pricing and contract files within the ERP system
  • Maintain and update appropriate purchasing records as required
  • Update KPI information and information relating to the above
  • Assist with inventory control items and re-order levels
  • Liaise with the warehouse team for delivery and stock information
  • Resolving invoice queries
  • Support the buyer / purchasing manager with a multitude of strategic and tactical projects

Training to be provided

  • Full Level 2 Training to be provided 
  • Functional Skills maths and English level 2 (if GCSE A-C if not already achieved)
