The role will include:
  • Completing the Degree Apprenticeship and carrying out all coursework and project work as set by Pearson College London
  • Working full-time at a Red Carnation London based hotel as part of the Management Programme
  • Spending time in The Rooms Division learning about Reservations, Revenue Management, Housekeeping, Reception, Guest Relations, Night Management and Concierge
  • Spending time in the Food and Beverage Department learning about Fine Dining, Kitchen, Restaurant service, Bar, Lounge and Conference and Banqueting
  • Understanding and adhering to the hotel's customer standards and delivering outstanding customer service
  • Acting as an ambassador and representative of the management team
  • Towards the end of the programme you have the option to experience a month in each of the central support departments. This involves Accounts, IT, Sales, Marketing, Revenue, PR and Human Resources and Training

Desired skills

This will be an exciting but highly challenging opportunity which will require lots of hard work and commitment. You don't need to have work experience but we are looking for people who can show the ability to work on their own initiative, have excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work co-operatively as part of a team.
  • Be able to deliver first class client service and work effectively as part of a team
  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Be well organised and have the ability to prioritise your own workload
  • Have a high level of general commercial awareness
  • Proactive with problem solving skills
  • Great communication/customer service skills

  • Dedicated to the management programme and completing the Degree Apprenticeship


Desired qualifications

  • Eligible to study in the UK
  • English Language and maths GCSE grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
  • If you are studying A levels or completing further education you must be due to complete your qualification(s) by September 2019. We are unable to progress applications for students that are part way through their current studies


Future prospects

After 3 years you'll have completed your Degree Apprenticeship, gained your honours degree, plus you'll have a CV full of experience!
