Our Chartered Legal Executive apprentice will work in different departments of the firm over the five year period but with significant focus on the areas of Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury and Mental Health Law.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Progressing legal matters and transactions
  • Applying legal knowledge and commercial judgement to produce solutions which meet clients' needs and address their commercial or personal circumstances
  • Deploying the full range of legal skills - research, interviewing and advising, negotiation, drafting, communicating orally and in writing
  • Establishing and maintaining effective and professional relationships with clients and other people
  • Managing yourself and your work effectively
  • Working with the legal team to complete transaction processes
  • Processing contracts, amending documents where necessary, and ensuring that files are kept up to date
  • Assisting with drafting

The ideal candidate will have the confidence to deal with various individuals and groups. You will be supported to undertake recognised qualifications whilst gaining invaluable on-the-job experience. Desired qualifications

GCSE grades A* to C 9-4 or equivalent are essential, specifically maths and English, A levels (or level 3 qualification) and a qualifying Law Degree.

Other Information:

This is a monthly paid post but you are paid two weeks in arrears and two weeks in advance. You will be entitled to receive statutory minimum annual leave, with an extra day granted for your Birthday. The salary will be between the highest level of National Minimum Wage which is from time to time prescribed and £18,000 per annum dependent upon age and qualifications

You are responsible for funding your own travel to and from your place of work.

You must conduct yourself in a safe and diligent manner and comply with health and safety policies and procedures.

You must uphold and promote the company policies and procedures, promoting those specifically to your area of work, including Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding.
