What you will do in your working day

You will have the opportunity to ensure positive outcomes are achieved for children and families who have identified additional needs by undertaking direct work with individuals, families and professionals providing support services that meet their individual needs. You will contribute to a range of meetings and will be required to accurately record such meetings and contribute to assessment plans with the aim to achieving positive outcomes for the children and families future.

The training you will be getting

In addition to the off the job training you will recieve from Learning and Skills, you will also recieve quality on the job training and a mentor to support you through your apprenticeship.

You will also achieve a Certificate of Higher Education in working with Children, Young People & Families.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is the opportunity to undertake a higher level apprenticeship qualification and the potential to secure a position within the Council for the right candidate to grow within the organisation.

Things to consider

You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject. Appointment will be subject to the following pre-employment checks: • Enhanced DBS check, • Medical Check • Satisfactory reference.
