We are currently looking for a Junior Web Developer for a permanent position at Credit Style Limited, Sheffield. The developer will be joining the development team and will work on the development, enhancement and maintenance of the in-house CRM software used for debt recovery and legal services by the company.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
  • Adhere to coding standards defined by technical management.
  • Understand the standard software development lifecycle processes and apply the development methodologies effectively
  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling the application
  • Understand the professional development process and becomes actively involved by setting challenging goals and meeting them through continuous learning.


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: Perl, PHP, Python
  • Good programming skills with knowledge of modern HTML/CSS, JavaScript and/or jQuery
  • Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
  • Ability to understand and confidently write SQL statements
  • Experience working on Linux/Unix platforms
  • Good understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
  • Demonstrate positive attitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and continuously adapt with changing web technologies and techniques
  • Good interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
