The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.05 for 21-25 year olds and £7.50 for anyone aged 25 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

    Qualifications required

    Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade C or above including English, Maths. Science and Technology is desirable. Other equivalent qualifications are acceptable.

    Future prospects The Programme runs for two years and consists of modules that include a mixture of role specific and soft skills training as well as work-based assessments in conjunction with our training partner. At the end of the Programme, you will have achieved a level of competency and accreditation that will allow you to further develop your career within the Service Management Team or other Daisy business units. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16 to 18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship.
