The Project Manager apprentice will work within the Rare Disease team responsible for Vyndaqel.

The Project Manager will have various assignments and will lead and project manage a variety of key programmes.

Initially, the Project Manager will be part of a 'First in Pfizer' Early Access Scheme, providing patients with life threatening or seriously debilitating conditions access to medicines when there is a clear unmet medical need. The Project Manager will play a vital role in supporting the team to launch, manage and report on this hugely important scheme.

Secondly the Project Manager will also be responsible for the leadership and co-ordination of the cross functional team, organising team meetings, recording and following up on actions agreed.

The candidate will have good planning and organisation skills, with attention to detail, and is able to identify problems and relevant issues and will try and provide solutions.

Specific responsibility for leadership and support activities of key projects in the areas of:
  • Early Access and Free of Charge Schemes
  • Educational and Patient Projects for Product Launch
  • Cross Functional Team Management

  • Leadership and execution of tasks and projects, with regular feedback on progress (articulate project objectives, deliverables and definition of return on investment through business analysis).

    Key Accountabilities:

    1. Early Access to Medicines (EAMS/FOC) data entry, management and processing
    • Ongoing data management and process oversight of all Early Access Scheme/Free of Charge, plus any subsequent compassionate usage activities
    • Tracking of detailed progress against plans, specifically centre contracts, clinical registrations and required Adverse Event training
    • Provide Cross-functional support to the project team. Act as a source of information on administrative issues, providing relevant information and support to other members of the department as required, to ensure a smooth running of the team
    • Maintenance of EAMS longitudinal database from adverse event reporting forms
    • Responding to emails in the EAMS inbox

    2. Provide organisational support to the RD medical team as required
    • Educational event planning
    • Development of internal communication content and engagement plan - with support from the medical team
    • Meetings planning, co-ordination and implementation
    • Data capture, metrics management and reporting requirements
    • Document management and approval co-ordination

    3. Provide project management and co-ordination of Vyndaqel cross functional team
    • Organisation of internal cross functional meetings, develop agenda, manage communications and capture actions
    • Monitor progress, and report to cross functional team on variations in the implementation of key Vyndaqel programmes
    • Responsible for BOX and documentation control for business planning and operating plan presentations
    • Conduct all activities and make all decisions in accordance with Company policies and SOPs, Pfizer Values and global regulatory guidelines (including cGMP/cGLP/cGCP)

    Desired qualifications

    • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grade A-C (4-9) including maths and English
    • You must have gained a minimum of 80 UCAS points from a minimum of 2 A-level subjects
